How I Did Minitwists

How I Did 200 Mini Twists Without Losing My Mind

In case you sleep under a rock (or you’re my Mom – hey girl!), you’ve seen on the gram that I now have mini twists. I’ve done them a few times before, but it’s been a hot minute since they were actually… well, mini. And before you try to say something like, oh they’re not even that small, please show me a picture of your hair as big as mine, and in twists smaller than mine, that you did yourself. Mkayyyy.

How I Did Mini twists

Moving along, I want to show you guys how I finally achieved this protective style after several failed attempts in the past year. I don’t mention it in the video, but I used the Camille Rose Naturals Aloe Whipped Butter Gel to do my twists. And if you thought last week’s (two weeks ago?) video was high quality, you’re not gonna believe this one! #yagirlfinallygotittogether #butyougottawatchinHD

Bottom Line

Do your twists over the course of several days, breaking them down into 2s or 4s.

What tips and tricks do you have for achieving the perfect set of mini twists? Do you like the style, or is it not worth the time?

  1. The mini twist style you did was cute. I don’t think I would be able to do this style but you rock it.

  2. I am excited to see you achieve this look eventually. So so proud of you. Let me know how I can get mine done and have it look so nice. You know I don’t have that much hair. Just saying. Nice video.

    1. I think with finer hair like yours, curling the twists is really important, as it gives it more volume… that doesn’t mean I’m agreeing to do them for you!
