The most wonderful time of the year is here, and after what 2020 has been, we definitely need some holiday cheer to lift our spirits! I’m determined to end the year on a positive note, and I’m grateful for the blessings that I’ve had despite the challenges that the past couple of months have thrown at us.
Although my holiday energy is usually “I am the gift,” ? I haven’t seen many of my family and friends this year, so I’m planning on reminding them how important they are to me with thoughtful gifts. It seemed only fitting to continue my #BuyBlack energy into my holiday gift shopping, and I’ve been able to find tons of gift ideas from Black owned businesses! From fragrant candles, unique jewelry, and trendy clothes, to inspirational books, fun toys, and fancy kitchenware, our Black owned holiday gift guide has tons of gift ideas at every price point ($5-$250)!

Beauty & Self-Care Gifts
If it were up to me, taking time for self-care would be compulsory. You’re sure to find something to gift to someone who deserves some pampering in this selection of self-care items:
Home & Living Gifts
Some of my personal favorite types of gifts to receive are decorative and functional household goods. Ya’ll know how much I love my plants, how much fun I’ve had decorating our Nairobi apartment, and how I much I enjoy whipping up a bangin’ meal. So, I found these home and living gifts that I would love to receive (except for the Karibe set because I already have it!):
Food & Drink Gifts
Eating and drinking are obviously such a big part of the holidays, and food and drink items can make lovely gifts too. Gifting a friend or family member a nice bottle of wine or decadent chocolates, that they can open up and share with you or save for later, is always a sweet gesture. Check out these Black owned food & drink options and take your pick:
Books & Paper Goods Gifts

There are a ton of amazing women in my life and every year I take special care in making sure I spoil them whenever I can. It was pretty difficult keeping some of these items out of my shopping cart for myself, and I knew I had to share them in this gift guide. From fancy silk pajamas, to gorgeous gold jewelry, high quality shoes and more, get clicking below for exquisite women’s gifts.
I’ll admit, it’s always a bit more tricky for me to figure out what to get for the wonderful men in my life. As uncomplicated as my husband, dad, and brothers are, I find that I always spend the most time searching for the perfect Christmas gift for them. For those of you in the same struggle, here are some men’s gifts:
Babies & Children’s Gifts
Even though they’re sometimes too young to truly appreciate their gifts, it’s always so nice to get cute little items for the babies and children in our lives. Although there are so so many Black owned baby brands, I’ve selected some clothing items, inspirational books, toys and more between that you can get for your mini humans, or as baby shower gifts. And even if they end up playing more with the packaging than the gift itself, it’s the thought that counts!
