I love March because it signals the start of spring, and this year is especially exciting because I feel like I can finally go shopping again now that I’m back to my pre-pregnancy size! Since I downsized my closet before we moved to Kenya, and I was pregnant for most of 2019, this is the first time in a while that I’ve done any big clothing shopping. I like to buy clothes seasonally based on a color scheme, and this Spring 2020 shopping list is no different, with an emphasis on white with pops of blue and orange. The one major change is that I’m only buying from black designers and boutiques this year, which means that I had to do a bit more research to find black owned spring fashion items I want.
After taking an inventory of my closet, I realized that I lacked tops that weren’t tees, especially ones that were wrap or button down style to allow for easy breastfeeding. I also don’t have many non-denim bottoms that I love, so I added a few of those to the list as well. We’re taking a mini vacay for our anniversary in April, so I also stocked up on a few resortwear pieces. Here’s my full #BuyBlack shopping list for spring 2020!
I looooove
Thank you sharing this! I’ve been looking for some black owned clothing companies to support!
