Although the one memory I will forever have about Milan is getting engaged (!), a close second is the cozy hotel apartment I stayed in at the Residence Aramis Milano Downtown in Porto Genova. J and I stayed at the hotel for only one night while in Milan (because he insisted on AirBnB for our trip since he’s lowkey obsessed with connecting with locals), but we should have stayed at the Residence Aramis considering we ended up spending most of our time outside of the center city in the Porto Genova area wandering along the canals and admiring the architecture and street art.
The Residence Aramis Milano Downtown has studio like hotel rooms that are functional with small touches of luxe and home-comfort. For me, the LED lit shower, access to a flower-filled patio, and welcome fruit basket were little details that make the Residence Aramis perfect for business travelers or people staying for numerous days and want a place that has every amenity. The room also had a lot of seating with a couch, accent chair, AND dining area chairs – it could definitely comfortably sleep 3 and host quite a few more.
While the hotel does not have a restaurant, it does provide breakfast vouchers at a nearby cafe and it does have a bar. In addition to studios, they also have queen and twin rooms with beautiful city views. The hotel is just a few train stops away from Milan sights like the Duomo and the shopping district (or a 25 minute walk if you’re a NYCer like myself who doesn’t mind walking), and is around the corner from the wonderful restaurant where we we got engaged – the Da Noi In at Magna Pars Suites!
How’d I miss this post?!
Anyways, I could totally live here. Whenever we go away and stay in a hotel, I always not-so-secretly wanna stay forever LOL! Simple and cozy. Love it!
I always want to stay in hotels too! I just love the sheets and comforters. And not having to go anywhere lol
There’s not too much I can say because you have shown such much of this lovely place. This is a place to get engaged in. I think BAE choose the perfect place to ask the love of his life to spend the rest of eternity with.
Awwww
