I don’t want to jinx it, but it’s finally feeling like spring over on these parts! I went a bit ham shopping before Paris Fashion Week, so my shopping budget doesn’t allow for the complete seasonal closet overhaul that I’d ideally like. Instead, I’m focusing on just a few affordable pieces to help my basic capsule wardrobe (more on that later) really stand out for spring. If you’re trying to spice up your spring closet on a budget, here are some of my favorite spring 2018 trends under 50 bucks.
StyleKeepers Chic in the City Top (sold out, available in white, very similar), J.Crew Billie Jeans (thrifted, still available in other colors), NA-KD Satin Kitten Heel Booties (gifted), Jam + Rico Earrings (gifted c/o Tictail), NARS Lip Cover in Hellgate (gifted)
A trend I’ve noticed this spring is statement tops – the kind of blouse you can wear with your favorite jeans and automatically have a LEWK. Unfortunately, my top in these photos sold out, but here are a few of my favorite statement tops under $50.
I’m happy woven bags are still trending because I bought this popular one last year (which is currently 20% off as part of the ShopBop sale that ends 4/14… just use the code EVENT18)! While my bamboo bag wasn’t under $50, there are now a bunch of similar designs that are super affordable.
Whether you’re a fan of kitten heels or not, slingback shoes are a great way to transition from winter boots to summer sandals. I’ve had my eye on these Balenciagas but I’m practicing self control (since I know I probably won’t wear them in two years) and bought this practical white pair instead (on sale for 20% off!).
I talked about the check trend a few weeks ago, but I feel like it’s worth saying again because ever since I got this skirt for $17, I’ve been feening for more! Here are a few more crush-worthy checkered pieces.
