As the holiday season approaches, you’ve probably started thinking about what gifts you can give to your friends and loved ones. While buying whatever is on sale or what’s trendy is one way to approach holiday gifting, another option is to give gifts that will have an impact beyond the holidays.
One of my favorite companies to gift during the holidays is L’Occitane for this exact reason. When you purchase from L’Occitane, you support ethical sourcing and fair working conditions for thousands of women in Burkina Faso, where L’Occitane’s shea is harvested. Since I’m West African, this really speaks to my heart, but who can’t get behind women’s empowerment all around the world?
[pipdig_banner image=”https://www.ijeomakola.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/Ijeoma-Kola_LOccitane-Holiday-2.jpg” />”]Of course, L’Occitane isn’t the only company that prioritizes fair trade practices and looks out for their employees, but their skincare products ACTUALLY work. The L’Occitane Shea collection is hands down one of my favorite moisturizing creams and I can’t get enough of it during the winter. It comes in a variety of gift sets this season, including the L’Occitane Nourishing Shea Butter collection. If you’re confused about the difference between the L’Occitane Shea lotion, light cream, and rich cream formulations, I broke it down in this post!

Another great thing about L’Occitane holiday gift sets is that they are always cutely packaged so you can spend more time writing a thoughtful card instead of fighting (a losing battle) with wrapping paper. The Nourishing Shea Star Ornament doubles as a stocking stuffer or cost-effective white elephant gift as well as a tree ornament!
I was planning on bringing the Hand Cream Bouquet to Thanksgiving dinner to share between my mom, sister in law, and my sister in law’s mom, but I made the mistake of opening one to cure a desperately ashy Jonathan and now he’s begging me to keep them all so we can distribute between all our bags and backpacks. Not a bad idea boo!

Ijeoma, first of all your sense of humour!! Girl you could easily take out Kevin Hart! Secondly, those boots almost had me shade tears! details please sis!
? Thanks love! I think the boots are sold out but they come in other colors – linked on ijeomakola.com/shop!
I give you one thing that you do quite often is make me ?????? in your posting. If I am not so cheerful, you post a picture or a blog post their is always something you say funny. I ❤️ you for that. This bring I’m definitely putting on my list to try. I hope that I have success with dry ashy skin. I like my DIY Shea butter mixture but sometimes it can be a little waxy feeling on the skin. I can see my Christmas list is going to be big this year.
I’m glad my wit and humor brings you joy!! And this definitely doesn’t make your skin feel waxy (thought it’s probably because your mix isn’t mixed all the way together!)
