There are a few things I do before bed to help tell my brain and body it’s time to slow down and rest. 95% of the time I do an entire 5-8 step nighttime skincare routine, making sure I gently remove my makeup and apply acne fighting acids and hydrating serums for my fickle but improving skin.
Other parts of my body require special attention. I apply a healing ointment on my lips because they’re chronically dry. A cuticle oil goes on my nails to encourage growth and prevent hangnails. I wrap my hair in a silk scarf or bonnet. And for the last three months, I’ve been using an eyelash serum to visibly strengthen and thicken my lashes.

You might remember when I first started using Avon’s Anew Clinical Unlimited Lashes serum back in July. I talked about the struggle of having super curly eyelashes, which makes it difficult to apply mascara and even falsies. Although my goal wasn’t to get longer lashes, I did hope for stronger and thicker lashes so that what I lacked in visible length I could make up for in volume. Here’s a side by side comparison of my lashes before and after extended use of Avon’s Anew Clinical Unlimited Lashes serum at the twelve-week mark.
They look thicker and feel much stronger to me. When I remove the Avon True Color Love at 1st Lash Mascara in Blackest Black that I wear in the daytime, my lashes no longer end up in the sink regardless of whether I’m washing it off with an oil or using makeup remover wipes.
At first, incorporating an eyelash serum into my routine seemed like an unnecessary step. I was skeptical about whether it would make a difference, and I never gave my lashes much thought aside from being curly and frustrating. Now using a lash serum – especially one that is paraben free and ophthalmologist approved – is a key aspect of my nighttime routine, especially on nights I take my time getting unready, savoring each step of my bedtime rituals. Although I may never have super long and straight lashes, the Avon Anew Clinical Unlimited Lashes serum definitely helped me like and appreciate my eyelashes a little bit more. Avon was one of my places to shop back in the day. My cousin used to be a Avon salesman so I purchased orders to help her out. There were times their products was a hit or miss but overall it was okay. For lashes,I truly needs some super on those natural for growth, thickness and length. I know now that you can order online without having a salesperson and I may just try this out.
If you do try them let me know what you think!
